The town is extremely well located for commuters. Within easy travelling distance of Manchester city centre by both road and rail, and direct inter city services bringing London within two hours travelling time. Manchester International Airport is approximately 30 minutes away by road.

This very attractive setting, quality workforce, coupled with good communication links, has attracted many leading national and international companies to locate their headquarters to the area. These include Astra Zeneca, Ciba, Barclays Bank (Computer Division) and Cheshire Building Society.

Macclesfield is surrounded by open countryside - look to the end of the town’s historic streets and you’ll see the dramatic Peak District hills, creating a striking backdrop to the town, with the lush Cheshire Plains immediately to the west. Within minutes you can be walking in the countryside and enjoying breathtaking views.

Education is well catered for with many excellent primary and secondary schools in the town. Private education is offered at several schools locally, The Kings School and Beech Hall School both situated within a few minutes walk of Cumberland Court.
